Born in Sawyreville, Mr. Reynolds had lived in New York most of his life. He retired in 1970 as a restaurant worker. Mr. Reynolds is survived by one son, Edward of Lake Parsippany, N.J., one sister, Mrs.

Broken Connection Silences WABC Radio NEW YORK, N.Y.

Clock radios set at WABC-AM Radio failed to startle listeners awake for about 30 minutes this morning while engineers worked to overcome transmitter problems. Radios merely hummed and clicked from about 6:45 a.m. until 7:15 due to a broken telephone connection between studios in New York and a transmitter in Lodi. Two emergency backup systems would not switch in. A malfunctioning relay switch was blamed for the emergency system's failure, a WABC newsman said.

A radio spokesman said the failure was not related to power shortages or blackouts, as far as engineers could determine. Fire Victims Aided DURANGO, Colo. (AP) After an apartment building fire left nine families and 30 Fort Lewis College students homeless yesterday, the Chamber of Commerce took up a collection and turned $260 over to the college to replace books lost in the fire. The homeless families and students spent the night in local motels courtesy of the operators. No one was seriously hurt in the fire, which caused $150,000 damage to the Mountain View Apartments.

Frank Bordo, 59, Operated Gas Station LODI Pranks John Bordo, 59, of 460 died yesterday at Bergen Pines Hospital, Paramus. Mr. Bordo was born in New York and had lived there for 25 years before moving to Jersey City, where he had lived for 10 years. Mr. Bordo had lived in Lodi and operated Bordo's Esso Station for the past 24 years.

He was a member of the Lodi Foresters and was a parishioner of St. Francis of Sales R. C. Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Jenny Raggi; a son, John of Lodi; a daughter, Mrs.

(Jacqueline) Lizotte of Lodi; brother, Alfred of St. Petersburg, a sister, Mrs. Frank (Rose) Rinn of Jersey City and three grandchildren. Services will be at 8 a.m. Friday at the Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi, and at 9 a.m.

He came to the United States from AustriaHungary 55 years ago, settleing in Garfield. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus-Kostka R.C. Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Julia Deczkowsky; a son, Edward of Clifton; a daughter, Mrs.

Sander Klein, 54 FAIR LAWN Funeral services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at the Louis Suburban Jewish Memorial Chapter for Sander Klein, 54, of 16-07 Everett who died Monday at Barnert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Klein was born in Hungary and came to this country 20 years ago, settling in Paterson, moving to Fair Lawn four years ago.

He was of Klein's Bakery, Paterson. He was a member of the Community Synagogue, Hebrew Free School and Fair Lawn Lodge, B'nai Brith. Mr. Klein is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Herman; a son, Jerome Steven and a daughter, Miss Barbara Phyllis, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Edith London and two brothers, William and Andor, all of Miami, Fla.

200 Apply for Job MILWAUKEE (AP) More than 200 persons have applied for one patrolman job in the suburb of Elm Grove, Police Chief Earl Krueger said yesterday. He said a spot check of 118 of those who completed applications, showed that 54 had been laid off from other jobs recently. The position pays $720 a month and goes to $865 after three years. High River Piles Up 5 Acres of Debris MORGANTOWN, W.V a. (AP) High waters in the Monongahela River south of here piled nearly five acres of trash behind the Opekiska Locks and Dam yesterday.

The debris included garbage, industrial oil and plastic foam packing material, apparently washed from river banks by the high waters. W.D. McVicker, lock master, said waste would cause no problems to the operations of the locks. "We'll have to get rid of it," he said. "We'll let it out the gates and on down to the next dam.

He was a member of Bayview Lodge 146 of the F. and A.M. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Limon had lived in Rutherford for 15 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Willnora Poston; a son, Allan; and a daughter Laura, both at home; two brothers.

Helen Galaziewski Wadowski of 9 Morris died at her home here yesterday. Mrs. Wadowski came to the United States from Poland 65 years ago. She first settled in Jersey City and has resided in Garfield for 43 years. She was a parishioner of St.

Stanislaus-Kostka R.C. Church and was a member of its Rosary Society and of the Third Order of St. Francis. Her husband, John, died last year. Surviving are two sons, Theodore of Garfield and Stephen of Grove; three daughters, Cedars John (Mae) Koptyra and Mrs.

Curtin CLIFTON Bartholomew P. Curtin, 55, of 141 Center St. died in St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic. Sunday night.

Mr. Curtin had been employed as a forklift orerator for Manhattan Rubber Co. for 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Irene; a daughter, Julia in Los Angeles, three brothers, Lawrence of Passaic, Cornelius of Saddle Brook and Daniel of Pittsburgh, and a sister, Mrs. Delia Carl of Rutherford.

Mr. Lagno was a member of St. Christopher's R.C. Church, Parsippany, the Knoll Golf Club, Parsippany, the New York Employing Printer Association and the B.P.0.E. Lodge 2078.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jean D'Amico; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Cagiano of Parsippany; three brothers, Frank, Charles and Louis, of New York; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Bucalo, of Halendale, and one grandchild. Joseph Imperiale; Fomer Fire Chief MOONACHIE Joseph V. Imperiale, 50, of 24 Moonachie Road, died Sunday a. Veterans' Hospital, East Orange. Mr. Imperiale had been employed for 24 years in the gas division of Public Service Electric Gas Co.

as a street inspector. He was a member of the Moonachie Fire Department, Friendship Co: No. 1, for 21 years. He was the chief of the department in 1959. He was a life member of the New Jersey Exempt Firemen's Association and a delegate to the national convention.

He was president of the Firemen's Welfare Association and a Moonachie marshall from 1957 to 1970. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 through 1943, with the rank of sergeant! Surviving are his wife, the former Erna Muller; a son, Anthony at home; his father, Anthony of New Milford; and four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Marie) Holloway of Euclid, Ohio, Mrs. Peter (Carmella) Paccione of Port Jefferson, Long Island, Mrs.

Mrs. Josephine McIntosh; Hartford Granddaughter NEW YORK (AP) Mrs. Josephine Hoffman McIntosh, the granddaughter of the late Huntington Hartford, founder of the Great Atlantic Pacific Tea died Saturday after a long illness in Harkness Pavilion of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She was 63. Mrs.

McIntosh was a wellknown horsewoman and lived in Sunnyfield Farm, in Bedford, N.Y. She is survived by her husband, Allan James McIntosh, of Bedford and Palm Beach, four children, Peter Hartford McIntosh, Michael Allan McIntosh, Mrs. Joy M. Buckner, and Mrs. Karen M.

Mrs. Sophie Matawina Dies After Long Illness CLIFTON Mrs. Sophie Matawina, 74, of 115 Marconi died yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic, after a long illness. She was born in Poland and came to the United States 61 years ago.

She retired 12 years ago from her job as a mender at Gera Mills, and was active in St. John Kanty R.C. Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Chris (Wanda) Froehlich, Miss Jan Matawina and Miss Magdalen Murrowiech, all of Clifton, and two granddaughters.

Mr. Slobodien was active in several Jewish charitable organizations, was a member of the Masons and was a charter member of the Green Brook Country Club in Caldwell. Michael Ruciano, Passaic Mailman WEST PATERSON Michael Ruciano, 50, of 70 Overmount died at Paterson General Hospital yesterday. An Air Force veteran of World War II, Mr.

Ruciano was a mailman with the Passaic Post Office for nine years. He was a member of St. Michael's Men's Society of Paterson, of the National Association of Letter Carriers and was secretary of the local letter carriers association. He was born in Paterson, living there most of his life. He had resided in West Paterson four years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Connie Pantano; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Hartwick Newton; a brother, Anthony of of Paterson; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Sally) Barrise of Paterson, Mrs. Richard (Rose) Fairless and Mrs. Frank (Caroline) Peppe, both of Clifton, and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday from the Intelisano Funeral Home, Passaic, with Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's R.C. Church.

Edmund Kemmerer, Active in Boonton BOONTON Services will be held tomorrow at the Mackey-Dixon Funeral Home for Edmund C. Kemmerer, 84, of 697 Boonton who died Sunday at St. Clare's Hospital. Born in Emmaus, Mr. Kemmerer had lived in Boonton for 57 years.

He had been a member of the Maxfield Hose and Engine Company since 1919. Mr. Kemmerer was a member of the United Methodist Church and a life member of the board of trustees, a member of the Boonton Concert Band and St. Clare's Hospital Corps.
