    This position is responsible for identifying and leading efforts that are focused on process improvements and retail distribution advancements within Ross. The Process Improvement Engineering Manager I will identify and lead improvement efforts through all stages of the basic Lean Sigma process (DMAIC, Lean, PDCA, etc.) to simplify all DC processes and reduce related costs within the Supply Chain value stream. This position also leads the operational readiness activities associated with new building start-ups and reconfigurations of existing buildings. Additional responsibilities include partnering with Network Strategy, DC Operations, and Training to provide cross functional project support. As process change ideas are implemented, the Process Improvements Engineering Manager I will also be responsible for creating/maintaining process documentation and control with DC Operations and Training. The base salary range for this role is $81,500 - $133,850. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience. What you'll do: Design and implement at-scale software applications, applying software development best practices. Collaborate with cross functional teams including business, product and other software engineers to ensure the right problems get solved. Apply testing and deployment best practices. Participate in and streamline collaborative team practices like code/design/operations reviews, roadmap planning, etc. What you'll bring: At least 6+ years of relevant industry experience in building highly available and high throughput systems. Experience with software development best practices (OOP/design patterns, code coverage, integration testing, load testing, instrumentation, etc.) Experience with building cloud-native applications (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.) Experience with service-oriented architecture, Relational and/or NoSQL databases, and CI/CD Experience applying operational excellence best practices (system monitoring/alarming/alerting, incident handling & response, etc.). Problem-solving skills, with ability to make design tradeoffs to balance short term and long term needs. Effective communication and collaboration skills, including consensus building, conflict resolution, influence and persuasion skills. Familiarity with frontend technologies is a bonus.
