Every Romance Option in GreedFall (and How to Woo Them) (2024)

GreedFall is an action RPG from Spiders, one which has all the makings of great BioWare RPG. In fact, one could argue that GreedFall is 2019's honorary Dragon Age title, so those who haven't played it now have the perfect chance.

It's one of the PS Plus games for January 2021, available on January 5, joining the service alongside a PS5 version of Maneater and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. For those diving in to GreedFall for the first time, it's worth mentioning the game has a good romance system, much like many actual BioWare RPGs, andrequires a couple of key decisions at important moments.

GreedFall Romances

In GreedFall, there are a total of 4 romance options, giving a male or female De Sardet (the main character) 3 options in any given playthrough. This include Kurt for female characters, Vasco for male or female characters, Siora for male or female characters, and Aphra for male characters. To successfully romance any of these characters, players will need to be the right gender, complete each of their (3) relationship quests, and sleep with them. Doing so unlocks an achievement for each character, but it should be noted that players will need to speak to their romance once again after completing their third quest.

GreedFall: How to Romance Kurt

Kurt is one of the first companions in GreedFall, one who specializes in melee and heavy armor. He's the main character and Constantin's weapons master, sometimes being a little cynical and other times showing protective affection (for a female De Sardet). While choosing the nicest options is usually the best route, there are some key decisions players need to make:

• Missing in Action Quest: After arriving in New Serene, players will need to speak to Constantin at the Governor's Palace, at the end choosing, "Tell him that it was so you could understand him better."
• After completing the Old Countries quests, players will be able to move forward with the Amongst the Ghosts missions. Here, players must "tell him a childhood memory."
• Settling Scores quest: at the end of the quest, players need to tell Kurt, "I hope you will be part of it."

Most importantly, players need to complete the first two aforementioned quests prior to the quest, Treason. This is a key moment in the GreedFall story, and if it isn't completed by then, the direction of the entire game can change.

GreedFall: How to Romance Vasco

As a dexterity-oriented companion, Vasco is a bit squishy but is incredibly agile. He is a captain of the Nauts, met on the journey to New Serene, and can be added shortly after talking to Constantin there. Notably, Vasco's romance can be complete earlier than other romances in GreedFall, either by a male or female De Sardet.

• A Name for a Family: Players will need to ask him if he has any fond memories at the end of this personal quest. This leads straight to his next quest.
• Family Reunion: At the end, players need to tell him that he can speak his mind. Family Reunion follows the same pattern as the above mission, meaning the next one is available right at completion.
• Forever a Naut: Players just need to tell Vasco that they wish they could set sail with him again to complete the romance.

GreedFall: How to Romance Siora

Siora is met in New Serene, acting in a way as a representative of the Teer Fradee and being the daughter of Queen Bladnid.She plays the pivotal role of showing how the natives operate, while also being curious about the new settlers. She uses light blades and power elemental magic in GreedFall, being helpful as a party member all the way around. As with other characters, key decisions in GreedFall determine her romance with De Sardet (either male or female).

• Find Siora's Mother quest: After a key moment in the story, players will receive this personal quest from Siora. At the end of it, they'll need to tell Siora about saying goodbye to their mother.
• Promises Set in Stone: After a couple more missions, complete this quest and tell Siora that it is "logical." During this quest, players should also refuse the bribe to keep the romance as affable as possible.
• The Queen's Farewell quest: This comes a couple of days after the above mission by talking to Siora. At the end of it, players will need to tell Siora that they understandable if she has to leave.

GreedFall: How to Romance Aphra

Aphra joins up as a GreedFall companion later than most others, requiring players to complete both the Old Countries in a New World and Scholars in the Expedition quests. She doesn't really get a long with Siora, despite both their admirations for the nature of the island, is focused on finding a cure for the Malichor, and can be romanced by a male de Sardet. She is a naturalist with more of a focus on science and discovery, expertly using GreedFall's firearms when in combat.

• Island Knowledge: once Aphra joins up, players can unlock this quest. They just need to ask about her "two childhoods" to really kickstart the romance.
• Cave of Knowledge: at the end of this quest, players need to tell Aphra that they've learned a lot from her.
• The Linking Ritual: Finally, players need to tell her they hope "she will be part of their adventure" to seal the deal on Aphra's romance in GreedFall.

GreedFall is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
